Many thanks to all three replies (especially Mike who might need some
sleep!) - I'll try them all out when I can and report!
In the meantime - yup, tried the contrast, no effect, but need to verify
against known working TV.
DIN-DIN cable supplied and said to be working (like box) - will check
pins and check reversing, just in case!
