I don't think so.  You'd be surprised at the turns some people's lives
take - implying great variations in their perception of "garbage-that-gets
thrown-away-when-we-move" and "knowledge-that-I'll-never-use-again".

Also, I've received mails from several people who are fairly competent on a
BBC micro, asking me for a certain "ROM" of a game.

I also think this is understandable (though also a display of naivete and
slight ignorance) if the person in question has been subjected to the
general "emulation scene" for some years.  I've seen practically anything
that can be loaded into an emulator termed "ROM".

So I wouldn't discredit this Jamie guy that quickly.  For the curious, the
game Qwak actually does credits a "Jamie" for "code and graphics".  Doesn't
prove much though.
