Thought so.  The closest I ever came to Mode 7 on my Electron was when I
painstakingly recreated the teletext font by hand :))

No, not as standard. There were several addons though which you could
get, although by the time you'd got an Electron and a Mode7 adaptor you
were only about £50 off a BBC Model B.

The main one I remember was the Sir Computers one. Never actually got my
hands on one though.
