In what format you have your old Apple2 programs and files?
If they are on 3 inch ProDos disks, there is no problem to copy
data over to your PC/MAC. Some of the apple2 computers had even
5.1/4inch ProDos floppy drive with 1.44mb capacity and that format
can be read by the PC also.
The bigest pain is copying of 5.1/4 inch single side Shugart 140k
format. I do not think it can be even emulated on any other phisical
drive. Because Apple did not use even FM writing, they used their own
format and read/write method. It was implemented in apple2 disk controller.
The only way I can even think of is just to find an old Apple2 computer
and start from that point. I have one at home but it is probably useless for you
because I live in San Francisco. It is realy easy to get the whole Apple2
computer here in the States. I saw them for sale in many places around.
The price is about $10 - $25 with the floppy.
Sorry to say that but unfortunatelly this is I think the only way to get your
data somewhere else than on your Apple2 floppies!
Cheers.
Victor.
