Subject: Re: Circuits involving a SAA5050?

Hi,
The SAA5050 is only capable of displaying already predecoded teletext 8bit
data on an RGB monitor. What you need is a teletext decoder chip which either
produces serial data or 8bit parrale data. I have a pic chip circuit I have
found which is capable of reciving cloed caption but I'll have a look on
the phillips website to see if there are any alternatives. I'll have a look
in my teletext decoder at home.
