More things that are missing from the archives:
Acorn's 1987 HI-BASIC for B/B+/Master
Available under license from Acorn, Tubelink are able to supply
the very latest version of Hi-BASIC which offers considerable
speed and accuracy improvements over the previous versions.
Compatible with 6502 second processor and Turbo co-
processor, and supplied on 40/80 track disc for just C9.95.
Ok, so where is it? Anyone have it?
>From AU may 1987:
Free language
Mathematically minded prog-
rammers will be pleased that
the APL language is to be avail-
able for the BBC micro - free.
APL (A Programming Lan-
guage) is widely used on mini-
computers for maths work.
A group, I-APL, is produc-
ing an APL interpreter for
home micros, and will distri-
bute it free, although the group
will accept donations.
Contact I-APL at 2 Blenheim
Road, St Albans, ALI 4NR.
Other articles in MU talked about the rom being nearly complete, the
code had to be reduced to fit in 16K IIRC, and source was also to be
given away freely. Again: where is it?
And has anyone seen games on eprom cards? (AU 1987, supposedly many of
superiors games were produced on it; the hardware for it was placed in a
rom socket.
And what about 'beebtape', a magazine on tape and disc?
One thing you *can* have a look at is the german versions of hopper &
arcadians:
