Further to my post on the dead electron disc interface, it would appear
that the 1770 is faulty (the 1770 from the interface doesn't work in
another machine, tho I didn't try the reverse, as I didn't want to end
up with two dead controllers).

Anyone have or know who might have one of these chips (its just the chip
itself I need, not any interface board)
