A3000's go pretty cheap on Ebay all the time - I only paid about 8 quid for
mine...although like Mike's says, it's a shame to butcher such a great
machine.  Still, if you're not all that bothered... :))

It might be cheaper to ask around for a faulty Master 128, ST or A3000
and nick the 1770 out of it.  Last radio rally I went to had used A3000s
selling for a tenner each, though it seems a shame to wreck a good
machine for one chip.
