Subject: FW: Disk formatting question

Dear all,

I have a question for you regarding formatting of disks.

Two BBC B computers i have acquired recently won't accept a format
command
which i have used for many years on some older machines.

The format command i want to use is:

">FORM 80 0 2"

Both BBCs respond with Bad Command.

Any ideas as to why this command works on some BBCs and not others -
and
what (if any) commands i could use on the later machines ???
Please help !

Kind regards,
Darren Logan BSc(Hons)
