Hmmm, IIRC Xfer will not transfer the files as a disc image but as the
actual original files themselves. I think that the .ini file has some kind
of file type info needed for Xfer itself.
I've not done BBC->PC transfers, only the other way around. To get the
files from the PC to the BBC, I had to extract the actual files from the
.dsd or .ssd image files (kind of like Winzip) and send them separately. I
used a program called BBC Explorer to do this. I'm sure there must be a
program that can do this the other way round (ie convert the files to a disc
image) - maybe BBC Explorer will do this?
Have a scout around, I'm sure you'll find something that works.

Dear all,
Here's where i am so far:
I've installed BeebM and Xfer on to my laptop.
I've managed to get the files from my BBC onto the laptop user Xfer.
For some reason, there are 2 copies of each file. One called "Filename.ini"
and the other called just the "Filename". Not sure why i need the two.
Anyway, im trying to use BeebM to read the files but can't. I guess i have
to set up part of my hard drive to act like a BBC disk drive ????. Disc
image or something ???
>From BeebM, i can create a New Disc Image (in either single or double sided
form) which creates a file called "Filename.ssd or Filename.dsd" (single
sided or double sided) but don't see what use this is.
Please someone help !! i seem to be getting soooo close !
Kind regards,

Tweek the program to get it to run on BBC BASIC for the PC or BBC BASIC
for Windows. See http://www.rtrussell.co.uk/
Once it has produced an output file, use any off-the-shelf PC eprom
programming system to program the eproms.
If you email me the BBC program, I can do any neccessay tweeking to ensure
it works on BBC BASIC (PC/WIN).
