Not a problem with me (and I'm sure every other member feels the same) -
this list is usually pretty quiet so it's nice to read the odd BBC email.

If people don't like it that can always unsubscribe!

Ask away!!

Dan

Subject: [BBC-Micro] Sorry guys....

Hi all,

Is there an accepted etiquette for questions sent to this group? I feel that
I'm probably using up too much of people's time by asking all these
questions, so I'll make this my last.

Has anybody else had difficulties using Brian Swatton's BBC Downloader with
a PC running Windows 2000? I made up a serial cable which works great ( I
can get text both ways using HyperTerminal 1200 BAUD 8-n-1). Unfortunately,
when I use BBC Downloader (with one of my dreaded Master 128's) It asks me
to type *FX2,1 at the Beeb, and when I do this it enters a loop saying
"Waiting for prompt" and "Nothing Received" (or something to that effect).

I'm loathe to start any programming when I've got no working disk drive (See
previous posts ;-) and no other means of storing the listings.

Thanks in advance once again,
Aplogies for being useless,
Austin.
