Subject: Disk transfer question
Hi All (and Giuseppe - see end),
Anybody willing to try a 'universal' disk reader?
I've only just written a utility to allow me to access any floppy disk
format using a PC, limited only by the hardware of the PC (I use it for
accessing disks from various non-DOS systems). However, I only have access
to a limited amount of hardware and disk formats (I've tried it on 6 PCs so
far with 5 different formats, including 2 BBC). Can I ask anyone out there
willing to test it to try it out on their system? All I want to check
currently is if it's able to analyse disks correctly, and then if reading
disks appears to work OK - it's all automated, so you don't need technical
knowledge of drives/formats/sectors/MFM...(!) etc.
If you're willing to try it, please e-mail me.
Thanks,
Jason.
Giuseppe - Provided what you want isn't too drastic I'll add it - I'll
e-mail instructions & program to you direct.
