Yes, it's the same chip, made by Motorola.

This chip is pin compatible with, and interchangeable with the 75159
line driver chip used in the Beeb.  (The first number is the date code -
week 35 of 1991.)

Phil's comments about unsoldering chips being a miserable business are
quite correct.  It would be interesting to see how neat a job could be
made of modifying a Master/Archimedes module to work in a Beeb.

By the way, there are two versions of the Master/Archimedes Econet
module.  The first has 4 chips and relies on software for collision
detection.  The improved version has 6 chips and does collision
detection in hardware.
