Subject: Announching the BBC Micro mailing list archive available online
I would like to announce the launch of the BBC Micro mailing list archive and
the BBC Emulators mailing list archive. There you can find an almost complete
navigable and soon-to-be searchable record of all posts made to both mailing
lists.
This is a joint project between myself and Jonathan Harston who has written the
software which makes the whole thing possible. Thanks are also due to James
Fidell for hosting the mailing lists, Andy Nelson for providing the web space
and to majordomo who supplied all the messages.
The BBC Micro mailing list archive is now available online at:
http://nelsonit.net/~jon/BBCMicro/
The BBC Emulators mailing list archive is available online at:
http://nelsonit.net/~jon/BeebEmul8/
The BBC Micro archive contains over five thousand messages from 21st May
1992 to 3rd March 2003! The archive will be periodically updated with new
messages as they appear.
The now defunct BBC Emulators archive contains over one thousand messages from
15th July 1994 to 4th September 1998. Missing messages will be added as they
are submitted.
The archives are by no means complete and if you have any messages which
are not
currently available on the site please submit them to me and they will
be added.
The site search option provided by Google should become active as soon as
Google indexes the site.
An announcement to comp.sys.acorn.announce will follow in a few days to allow
for comments from the group.
Thanks,
Jon Ripley
