Hi again,

 Last night I attempted to fit my shiny new 1770 disc upgrade.  
Everything appears to be in the right places, S9 was duly snipped (even 
if I did manage to stab myself in the process...), two ICs and two links 
plugged in, 1770 board plugged in the right way round and the DFS rom 
inserted.  The only problem is it still thinks it's tape only; there's 
no message announcing the DFS.  Before I conclude my DFS EPROM has 
amnesia (moving it to another socket didn't help), is there anything in 
the upgrade I might have missed or done wrong that would prevent the DFS 
starting up?
