Mark,
If there's anything at all that I can help you with, including hosting,
then please let me know - I have a spare 50Mb of space that accompanies my
DSL account which is currently unused (and I cannot see it being needed in
the foreseeable), so if that could be any use to you, then feel free.
I also have access to a scanner both at home and at work, and wouldn't
mind helping out with document scanning / OCR / conversions.
Let me know your thoughts - I for one think that the Doc Project is
invaluable, and would love to see it continue!
All the best,
Matt Forbes

OK, I could say me too, especially when it comes to skiing, but then I
do live in a ski resort.
I have been having some bad spells where I've been quite ill over the
last two years, and have spent alot of my time having to keep fit and
change lifestyle a bit. With many of the other things that I am involved
in, I haven't had time to keep up with the BBC Doc project. It got to a
stage where I was chasing people who had started something and then done
nothing more, and not keeping me informed of progress. If contributors
couldn't be bothered, why should I continue putting all my time in? But
then I have had some very supporting emails from others and it is
something worth carrying on with, but I have become a little
disillusioned with some people, as some of you may have done with me.
I received and have read all of the emails, and have even replied to
some!!! I know that this isn't the best way of maintaining the doc
project but time has been a big problem. I receive about 900 emails a
week from all the various bits and pieces that I am involved with.
I also am in need of FTP space, to upload many of the bits and pieces
that I still haven't added, or have had to remove due to space - or lack
of. Any offers anyone?
I'll be on holiday for 3 weeks as of next Sunday, so please don't expect
too much to be done before the end of August. I do have some plans
though of some new bits and pieces I'd like to introduce.
I hope some of you will accept my apologies, and help me to add to the
project in the future.
Mark
