A question to all but I see Mike Tomlinson sees to have a grasp on the
Micro Vitec problems.

I have a CUB 1431MS monitor that is playing up. Basically if the monitor
is on and the BBC is off you get a white screen.
When initially turned on the picture scrolls from left to right (looking
at the screen) then stabilises with the picture far over to the left so
you can see a small part of it creeping back in to view on the RHS of
the screen. It slowly migrates to the picture right until it is almost a
good picture. Then all hell breaks loose and it goes back to the
scrolling. Then all of a sudden it is fine, the whole process takes
about 15-30 min. But even when the screen is good it is white when the
BBC is off. I have it open and I found a resistor R231 (the largest one
under the CRT) that had come away from the metal strip that goes to the
uppermost lead, I have re-soldered this but it has made no difference. I
may have actually knocked this off while trying to get the board out.
This one has the large green box on the RHS of the bottom circuit board.

Any Ideas????

Alastair
