Nope, I can't get anywhere at all on Elite either, even 19 years on. Ditto
every flight simulator ever made. And every text adventure. And every
warfare / strategy game, etc etc...

PS On a more prosaic note, Colin's recent mail reminded me - from where can
one source ribbons for BBC-compatibe printers nowadays? 8bs seems out of
them at present, and I haven't seen any on Ebay for yonks.
