I think you may find that as you use it more, the problem will correct
itself.  Though one problem remains on mine, is that Write Protect
Disable doesn't work when I'm in B mode.  I did tests and disk image
doesn't get corrupted.

(good bye) so make sure you have backup copies of your files !
I.E. Start in BBC, load image file, switch to master, switch back to
BBC &
switch to master, hey presto your image file is History !
