Thanks - found the DS3691 in the RS catalogue.

With the NFS ROM loaded (into sideways RAM) the machine hangs with a
flashing cursor on startup - if the clock is unplugged it starts okay.

My patched version of netmon appears to run fine - so I think its
something up with the transmitting side of things.I'll have to prod it
more with a scope I think.
