I've successfully cleaned a *lot* of stuff, e.g. expansion
cards, BBCs, second processors, a Master, two Risc PCs, an
A5000, etc., by gently washing/lightly scrubbing them with
a toothbrush, some tepid water and dish washing soap. Then
flush all the soap away with plenty of tepid water. Then
get off most of the moisture with some cotton cloth, then
put a fan heater on it (not too hot though) until it's
absolutely bone dry.

Squeaky clean results. Never failed yet. Although I admit
it's probably not for the fainthearted.
