The video output from both the beeb and the Master is a quite liberal
interpretation of the PAL spec - it's been a couple of years since I looked
on a scope and can't be bothered to wheel over to the other side of the room
to turn it on, but
- sync was rather higher than 0.3V
- colour burst started too soon after end of sync
- vertical serrations were a bit naff
Most TVs and monitors don't really care, but I guess the combination of 20
years' of drift on the beeb and 20 years of drift on the genlock have taken
their toll!
