Defenitely wrong here. It /was/ recognised in a BBC-B:

Note that link S33 is set to position EAST, instead of WEST as can be seen

link S32, which is the normal position.
And at last I Managed to get the ROM image on an ARM machine.

The size was recognised as 8K, but half the image, the header is
repeated, so it is a 4K ROM.
