Same way you take a Compact "monitor stand" unit apart.  Remove the
front and back plastic panels, take out three screws on each side on
the underside of the metal cover, and slide it off the back.  I think
you have to remove the side plastics before it will slide, but I don't
have one here to look at.

Yes, it does take a bit of effort to take the plastics off.  Put your
thumbs on the front or underside and your fingers on the top and pull
the top edge of the front plastic towards you and then downwards.
 Ditto for the back and the sides.
