Subject: Absence!
Sorry for my absence, did I miss anything good? My Powerbook was away
being 'repaired' - I say repaired, what I mean is, pointlessly sent
back to Apple to be returned /still/ crashing when it wakes from sleep
and still wobbling.
Anyway - updates - my Domesday system is still playing up, I've
acquired a pair of Master 512 upgrades, one boxed with mouse etc. (to
arrive) and one off eBay (fitted and working, but need software), plus
an eMate (not BBC related) and a very clean Master (home use, no
fading) with Viglen bridge disk drives in exchange for a bottle of
scotch! I've also got a 32016 co-pro lined up, probably once I've got
my arse in gear and copied some disks ;)
I've also been offered a scruffy A500, non-working R140, and some other
bits, but probably can't afford them.
The Cambridge Workstation is still mostly behaving, the ABC-310 still
doesn't have a functional 286 board and the screen keeps going out of
focus. In other news, I've changed cars (now a New Beetle convertible,
with the stereo suitably helped out by iPod) & cut myself down to one
Mac.
