Hi all,

Perhaps someone out there could answer something that has been bugging me
for some time. Did Acorn ever produce their own floppy drives? I know
that they provided (one of the many) DFS chips, but I can only ever
remember seeing third-party drives (Pace, Cumana, Viglen etc.), and it
seems a little odd to me that they would only go two thirds of the way
(computer, software, but no devices).

A friend of mine claims to have seen an Acorn badged floppy drive unit -
if this is the case and his memory isn't deceiving him - did Acorn sell
'rebadged' units from other manufacturers?

Thanks in advance for any info - even if it's probably the most trivial
question ever asked on this list!

Regards,
Matt Forbes
