Yes, I have.

So can't I, but it's all new to me!

Just to be sure, I did so again, but no luck. I even withdraw the clock chip.
Starting up, correctly signals the 'System Error' LED with one short flash,
repeated and seperated with a longer one.

The strange part is, that, after all the work of the overhaul, it has
been working for more than a week, with shut downs and start ups included. 
It was shut off correctly, and haven't been moved since. Not an inch!
Starting it up, it seems a totally different machine now. :-(((
Completely puzzled.
