I was thinking in particular of some of the later Solidisk offerings which
seemed to contain code to read just about every disk the beeb ever wrote.

I'd agree with JGH though and suggest perhaps the least resistance approach
would just use a beeb to grab the files you want and convert them to ADFS or
plain DFS for use on your Master,
