Hiya,
Herewith a direct quote from the Help pages of Ebay;
"To maintain the integrity of the feedback system, feedback left for a
member becomes a permanent part of that member's record. The comments cannot
be edited at a later date. We encourage members to communicate with their
trading partners prior to leaving feedback since most misunderstandings can
be resolved quickly through direct communication..."
To my mind this transaction was still nowhere near the point at which an
impasse could be said to have been reached and the awarding of negative
feedback the only remaining option - quite the opposite, in fact, with
Wouter still trying to make things up to the bidder.
I'm not sure what the Dutch is for "You can't win 'em all", Wouter, but
instances like these only serve to remind me that, efforts beyond the call
of duty notwithstanding, Ebay is no more immune than the rest of life from
such extremities of behaviour. "Ebay rage"? You decide....
Tot ziens, meneer Scholten!

Couldn't resist, my last post on this, I promise. See my webpages for
more information on this guy:

No, feedback is based on what you sell on how you react to complaints
(if valid). I've shown you to be unreasonable, you deserve negative
feedback (but I was stupid enough to give a positive directly after
payment).

What's this then?

Spare time? Then all the posts on the list are off topic as all of this
in done in spare time and about things done in spare time.
Buying/selling BBC stuff and who to avoid, where to get it etc is on
topic, so there.
As I said before, get a clue or get lost.
