Subject: Econet speed

Any idea what sort of data rate I can expect over a short Econet
network? That's another thing that'll have a bearing on how I go about
this picture wall thingy.

I'll only need a few metres of cable.. less than 50 even assuming the
controlling machine is some distance from everything else. I've got some
docs here that say the maximum clock speed is 250KHz due to software
limitations even though the clock unit will go higher - that's from an
Acorn provisional document though so maybe things changed...
