Subject: ANNOUNCE: Mac OS X version of ElectrEm
--=_NextPart_Lycos_0150531089994933_ID
ElectrEm 'Future', my surprisingly well designed Electron emulator (surprised
myself anyway), has now been built
for Mac OS X by Ewan Roberts and added to the ElectrEm website. See what
you think via http://electrem.emuunlim.com
or http://electrem.acornelectron.co.uk. Features and boasts:
- emulation of all base Electron hardware except writing to tape
- emulation correct, bugs notwithstanding, to the cycle - including changes
to all video and sound registers
- all Electron bus timings taken into account, on a cycle by cycle breakdown
of all operations
- full support of all tape related UEF chunks with 100% accurate timing
- Mac OS version includes interface to the Picker and responds to all normal
OS controls
- Slogger Turbo Elk & Master RAM board emulation + an unrealistic 'same speed
as BBC' mode
Bugs:
- some sort of paging bug (I think) causes three or four games not to function
- including Superior's Citadel
Anyway, I have to admit to being completely ignorant about Mac OS X, and
the support for Acorn emulation thereupon,
but I hope this extends Acorn-emulation in some way.
