Subject: CEEFAX short story contest

I noticed the BBC is holding a short story contest to celebrate the
30th anniversary of CEEFAX. Details are on BBC1 page 149. In summary,
entries must be titled "1974", have 70 words or less, and the plot must
have a beginning, middle, end and a twist. Contest closes Monday
(13th) at noon.

I'm sure the Teletext experts among us can come up with witty
submissions. Maybe making some good technical references, or clever
use of monospacing or the character set when formatting the story?

Sorry there's no link; I was sure there was a gateway somewhere to read
live Ceefax pages over the Web, does anybody know of one?

Story submissions to the BBC please, not to this list as they may be
disqualified if published elsewhere. Otherwise, fire away if
on-topic...
