Subject: Doomsday system

I finally setup my system today but it looks like it's suffer during it's 12
years or so of storage.
The monitor only displays an out of sync green background picture when
plugged directly into the Master.
The laserdisc player just sits there doing a long beep every 15 seconds or
so when taken out of standy and none of the buttons work.
And the remote still had batterys in it (oops) which needless to say had
leaked though it looks like the contacts in the remote are stainless steel
rather than plated steel so they don't appear to have corroded.

I've got a service manual for the Philps monitor (from the days when people
would pay you to fix monitors) but has anybody got anything on the laserdisc
player ?
I'm an electronics design engineer so theres a chance i can fix it.
