I've got my MDFS working again. I effected a power supply 
transplant from the spare MDFS I'd just bought from Chris. 
I had quite a trek trying to find somebody that stocked 
the required internal fuse. 
 
For the technically minded, it looks as though R3 on the 
PSU board has blown. It's an interesting colour of burnt 
umber! 
 
Typically, I was balanced half-way between two monthly 
backups, and a week away from half-yearly backup-and- 
write-to-CD. 
 
I'll be getting around to replying to the pile of emails 
people have sent me, and I've started assembling some IDE 
cards.
