Subject: Re: The importance of GoMMC
Yes John you can talk... I'm sorry if some of you are getting bored
with this but I believe you must be feeling equally frustrated with
John's handling of interest and not giving straight communications
around his project.
It's clear John that you are not serious about making a proper
contribution to what I still believe is our demand for extra, flawless
storage for the BBC Micro. I had to e-mail you once ten times before I
could get a straight answer out of you and even that's proved to be a
fudge. I think it's people like you that strangled the Acorn market
into obscurity, dangling carrots in front of all of us then mishandling
the interest to an extent that people get frustrated and even resign to
the possibility that we haven't for the right people who believe in the
hardware to re-juvenate the market. Since you would only producing
cards for a limited amount of time then no more to order, I would have
thought it would have made perfect sense to allow us to continue where
he left off. There must be others on this list who are equally able to
do this, like Sprow to rank alongside his other storage boards. I
think it's dispicable the way you want to hoard the blueprints and not
do anything, or at least share them to fulfil what I'm sure is a good
demand among us. Granted it's your choice to do with them what you
please but what you are going isn't right and a waste of a lot of
resources. What, you want to perhaps release them when the market is
completely dead? What's the use of that? You I'm afraid are acting
very unfair and miserly, running roughshod over people's interests in
the product and taking advantage of them. Profit or not this is a bad
way to do business. Then you take us off the list without saying
whether you actually want more customers or not.
Sorry if this had to be on this list but this is a BBC list. I was
purged off the GoMMC list for no reason without having posted anything.
Fiaz.
