The Music 4000 is just a passive diode matrix keyboard on the user port.
The 2000 is a trio of ACIAs, but the software only ever supported output
AFAIK.
You could possibly write a module to handle input from the 2000, but I get
the feeling if it wasn't done, it would have been for technical reasons.

If you had way too much spare time on your hands, you could reverse-engineer
the Music 5000 hardware, and implement it on an FPGA, probably with room to
spare for an emulated BBC to drive it.
That's a thought ;-)
