I believe that without the Econet board, ANFS won't even initalise itself,
so I think it's just wasting a socket.

ANFS ROMs are probably worthwhile keeping handy in case you or someone
else wnats it. Econet cards are easy to come by, but the ROMs are harder
to get, as the cards were often used in Archimedes machines, which didn't
need the ROM.
