I'd say it's about 75-25 in favour of Marbo here.
The BBC Model B and cheese wedges tend to have "Reliance" type plugs which
are a slightly different
shape.
On a separate point, has anybody seen mixed coloured connectors underneath
a Beeb (ie. some black &
some grey) or even red ones - I know I have!
Best wishes,

It was very common for the mains cable to break at the strain-relief
grommet, particularly if the cable is wound around the machine for
storage. I replaced several mains cables during my time at an Acorn
dealer.
The replacement cables (with moulded plug) we obtained came from the RS
catalogue (http://rswww.com/). These had "MARBO" moulded into the plug
top.
You can tell if the cable's been replaced by examining the black strain-
relief grommet - it could be a pig to get back into the hole provided
for it in the PSU case and you will usually find marks caused by
wrestling it back into place with a pair of pliers if the cable has
indeed been replaced.
