Subject: Electron power supplies

Hi,

I need to find a power supply for my Electron but genuine ones are impossible
to find down here in New Zealand.

According to online sources (which are very sketchy when it comes to power
supply ratings) it's supposed to be either 18 or 19v AC and 14W - this equates
to about 800mA.

I've found a supplier of 18vAC 600mA units, which is obviously a bit low.

Do you think I could get away with using a 600mA unit as opposed to 800mA?
Will it blow the power supply by drawing to much current?
Or is the 14W/800mA rating conservative?

I'm unlikely to be running any expansion units - I just want a working
Electron for my collection.

Cheers
Richard
