Ok, just had my old electron out and hooked up to my Digital Multimeter,
I got 20.5Vac across the output of the mains transformer and 0.35A when
running, I also got a peak of around 0.8A when first powered on for a
fraction of a second (bit had to measure with a digi meter :-(

My electron has a Slogger Master Ram board fitted and a AP1 hanging off
the back. So my guess is you'ld be fine with a 600mA supply as it only
uses more than 350mA on startup and that'll be the capacitors on the
ac-dc regulator board charging up.

Cheers Wookie.
