John, I wouldn't agree with you that physical h/d's are stone-age
technology as they're still used today...
However here's why I think it's worth me shelling out for GoMMC:
1. The compactness - physical h/d's are just extra bulk. GoMMC's are
inside the machines.
2. Speed
3. The HUGE potential it has for upgrading BBC B/Master and using
modern applications
4. Ease of portability to modern computers.
H/d's on PC's or modern computers are good enough for me. It seems
such a waste to be using GB h/d for 8-bit applications up to 512MB
only. I tell you this though, h/d or GoMMC, there is a set lifespan
depending on how much you use it. It's worth making physical backups
in case of error or failure.
