Unless you are just running a hard disc in which case you can use ADFS without
the 1770 controller
as the hard disc system uses its own Winchester disc controller.

ADFS requires a Acorn-style 1770 disk controller. If there is
already a 1770 fitted, all you need is a BBC ADFS ROM.
