There are various "millennium bug" fixes for the Master available on the internet
but the best method I found is to have a short ROM image which intercepts
OSWORD and then checks for an OSWORD 14 and then overwrites "19"
in the output string with "20".
It's been done by others but I have the source code of my own version
somewhere if anybody needs it.
it's a bit of a waste of a ROM slot because only a short piece of code is
required so it is probably best combined with other utilities in ROM.
Personally I prefer the good old twentieth-century date although the problem
is even worse when it comes to Econet as generally dates after 1996 are not
accepted!
Best wishes,
Ian

Robert,
Is it possible to simulate a write situation to location &9881 in
ROM 15, say using the ROM Polling Semaphore?
I wonder if we can get to get the MOS to think that it is holding
&20 there (as BCD) rather than &19. I am hoping that this may
change the century on the Master's clock from 19-- to 20 --
Thanks
Raf
