The pinouts for the cassette port are on page 499 of the BBC User Guide, which 
I just happen to have a copy of in front of me now. I'm sure this is available 
on the interweb somewhere, but basically, according to this manual, the output 
is on pins 1 and 4, input on pin 3, with pin 2 as ground. Pins 6 and 7 are 
"motor control", which I assume means they are normally open-circuit, but short 
out to activate the tape motor.

There is a diagram which I could scan, if you can't find it elsewhere.

Since I'm posting this to the list: Usual disclaimers apply - This is what the 
book says - I CANNOT guarantee these pinouts to be correct! Don't blame me if 
things go wrong!
