I was under the impression that !Gateway needed both side to be running
AUN, so you couldn't stick a beeb on the econet side and logon to a file
server on the ethernet side.
If you can, then isn't that that one solution to the econet - ethernet
bridge problem? Get an Archimedes and shove an Econet card and an
Ethernet podule in it and run !Gateway? You can load that from a floppy
disc.
