I seem to recall each time you cycle through all the maps it goes:

- chickens, with bird in its cage
- bird out of cage, no chickens
- chickens AND bird out of cage
- ?

Never got further than point three, so I'm not sure after that. I 
always found it so depressing when I died after playing for about an 
hour and had to go ALL the way back to the start again. Bah.
