Subject: Decent BBC emulator for OS X?
--=_NextPart_Lycos_32334544825720_ID
I was wondering if anybody has found a decent BBC emulator for OS X? All
that I can find is Horizon, which doesn't emulate floppy drives and doesn't
accept INF/binary pairs, appearing to require that all software be converted
into some Horizon specific format while at the same time not providing any
conversion tools. The only way to convert software natively from a BBC seems
to require that my Mac has some sort of weird Mini DIN somewhere, but like
almost every other since the iMac all I really have for input is Firewire,
USB and ethernet.
I grabbed the source of B-Em but was floored by a requirement for a built
Allegro version of 2xSAI, which itself comes with no system for building on OS X.
So, can anyone recommend either a binary OS X BBC emulator or a source based
emulator with only simple requirements (e.g. SDL or Allegro and maybe ZLib)
which emulates floppy drives? Otherwise I may have to look into producing
one myself.
