I'm an advocate for MESS as a long-term emulator.  It's not the best BBC
emulator (doesn't read .dsd's or ADFS images and no complete Master 128
support yet) but it does work pretty well as a BBC B emulator and has been
ported to all the platforms MESS has, including Mac.  Plus it emulates a
bazillion other things as well ... :)
