Subject: What had a 'code' key?
Just unearthed a copy of the Master 128 Welcome manual which was once
owned by Alex van Someren. It's marked as "BB Copy" though and has been
heavily annoated; I get the feeling this was done to produce a Welcome
guide for one of Acorn's other products...
Whatever system it was intended for, it appears that it had a disk
interface but no cassette hardware. The keyboard layout's also the same
as the Master, with the exception that the @ symbol has moved to shift-
zero, and what was the @ key is now labelled 'code'...
Seems to be some confusion as to where the status LEDs were too; top-
left like a Master 128 or bottom-left like a Compact.
Any ideas what machine this manual 'draft' might have been intended for?
The Electron, Compact and Communicator have no 'code' key - but maybe
that's misleading anyway and such a key was dropped before final
product...
'BB' mean anything to anyone?
cheers
Jules
