Two things that might be of interest -
I've got a utility that I wrote years back once that checks an ADFS disc
(or hard disc) and identifies if it's got a (Level 3) partition on it, and
outputs the pertinent information about it. I'll see if I can get it
across from the beeb, or can do a floppy copy, if that would be of help.
I also wrote a recovery routine, about 16 years ago, that could recover
files from a crashed or wiped hard disc, writing back out onto floppies in
"Archive/GetBack" format, but on digging out the disc with it on the other
day, the relevant program file is 2 bytes long, contents "0d 0a"
.. oops. I've not gone through all my discs thoroughly yet, so might have
another copy, or I might have to see if it's stored somewhere else on the
floppy accessible to a sector editor..
I also need this back for my own hard disc.... which I *do* have a backup
of, but unfortunately "GetBack" will only take an econet fileserver as a
target, not a local ADFS volume, hence another reason I need a 6502 2P, to
set up a fileserver again.. argh..
